Our Work

Our Mission Is Simple

To break the cycle of poverty in the Coachella Valley through mobilizing the caring power of community.

Our Impact

Education. Income. Health.
The building blocks of a good life.

United Way believes that everyone is entitled to a quality education, a family-sustaining income and good health. And we're not alone. Education, Income and Health are also the indicators by which the United Nations measures community development worldwide.

Through our Community Impact Agenda, we work to make sure people get the support services they need right now, while simultaneously addressing the root causes of poverty in our region- that's how we create lasting change and true community impact. By providing oportunities for early and quality education to all children, we're setting them on the path to high school graduation and college success. These children are then more likely to hold skilled jobs and be financially equipped to support their own families one day. A stable home environment, nutritious food, and good health are not only basic human needs, but are directly linked to a successful life.

Most importantly, research shows that when we improve education, income and health at a community level, we all benefit. That's what LIVING UNITED looks like in the Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin.

At United Way, we recruit the people and organizations from across the community who bring the passion, expertise and resources needed to get things done. We invite you to be a part of the change. You can give, you can advocate, and you can volunteer.

That's what it means to LIVE UNITED.
