California Department of Social Services is switching to a new vendor for the EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) program and this weekend and EBT holders will experience a 24-hour outage of the system state-wide. The outage will begin at 11:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, and continue until 11:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24. We want to remind EBT card holders throughout the Coachella Valley to plan ahead for the outage and make sure they fill their shopping needs or get cash prior to the system going offline.
