CV Water Counts Agencies Expand Assistance to Struggling CV Families
When the government shutdown happened last month, United Way of the Desert and local water agencies discussed ways we could adjust our program to help those who were struggling due to outside forces. The City of Coachella, Desert Water Agency, Mission Springs Water District, and Coachella Valley Water District all approved measures to now include assistance for those affected by government shutdowns.
Additionally, Coachella Valley Water District's Board of Directors voted to expand the program to help during times of natural disasters and other periods of financial hardship. You can view their press release on the program expansion here.
