Please bring your water bill, a valid ID, and proof of income (e.g., W-2, tax return, social security)
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE INTERNET ACCESS?
Applicants may go to any participating non-profit to seek assistance with submitting the application:
United Way of the Desert - **Currently working remotely. Call 760.323.2731 x105 for assistance. We will return calls within 24 hours.
Salvation Army - **Currently open Monday,Wednesday,Friday 9-4. Clients must call on Monday after 2 to schedule an appt, 30400 Landau Blvd., Cathedral City - 760-324-2275
Catholic Charities - 83180 Requa Ave, Suite 9, Indio (locations throughout CV) - Walk-Ins on Tuesdays from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM or call 760-342-0157.
Galilee Center - ***Clients must call to make an appt. No more than 1 person will be allowed into the office at a time. Clients should come alone. Hammond Rd., Mecca, Monday thru Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM or call 760-396-9100 for an appointment.
Desert Hot Springs Family Resource Center - **Currently not accepting any in-person applications
Salvation Army Yucca Valley - This location has closed and can no longer process applications
HOW IS THE PROGRAM FUNDED?
Money for the Help2Others Assistance Program is provided by each of the valley's public water districts. For Joshua Basin Water District, funding for this program comes from non-water revenues (such as revenues collected from delinquent property taxes and not from direct customer payments). In addition, anyone can make a tax-deductible donation directly into the program via United Way of the Desert. Payment can be processed online via credit card or Apple Pay (on mobile), by mailing a check to United Way of the Desert (P.O. Box 13210, Palm Desert, CA 92255), or calling by (760) 323-2731 x105.
Program availability is based on the amount of funding available. Your donation would help sustain the Help2Others Assistance Program.
